The Killers have shared the official music video for brand new track ‘Boy.

The Las Vegas rockers released the song earlier this month (05 August) after first debuting it to fans at Madrid’s Mad Cool Festival in July.

‘Boy’ is The Killers first new material since dropping their 2021 seventh studio album ‘Pressure Machine’.

Frontman Brandon Flowers discussed the track in a statement saying, “This was the first song written after we had to cancel the Imploding the Mirage tour due to the pandemic. I had recently moved back to Utah and started to make trips to Nephi, where I grew up. I found that the place I had wanted to get away from so desperately at 16 was now a place that I couldn’t stop returning to. I have a son approaching the age I was at that time in my life. With “Boy,” I want to reach out and tell myself—and my sons—to not overthink it. And to look for the “white arrows” in their lives. For me now, white arrows are my wife, children, my songs and the stage.”

The accompanying music video was produced by Boris Vassallo and features the trio performing the song in various cinematic landscapes.

‘Boy’ was produced by the band alongside Stuart Price and Shawn Everett and written prior to the recording sessions for ‘Pressure Machine’. It was also said to have inspired some of the material on the album.

The Killers recently completed the UK & Ireland leg of their huge Imploding The Mirage Tour, which will continue across North America into the autumn before heading to Australia and New Zealand later this year.

The band was joined by a host of special guests at their UK & Ireland live dates including Blossoms, Manic Street Preachers, Sam Fender, Supergrass and The Academic. They also played an intimate warm-up gig in Sheffield ahead of their highly anticipated stadium shows.

The extensive tour is in support of their sixth studio album ‘Imploding The Mirage’.
