Artist Bio:
Greta Van Fleet are a Grammy Award-winning American rock band known for their powerful vocals, huge guitar riffs and energetic live performances. Formed in Frankenmuth, Michigan, the band have built an international following by bringing a classic rock influence into a modern setting while continuing to develop their own sound.
The band formed in 2012 around brothers Josh Kiszka, Jake Kiszka and Sam Kiszka, alongside drummer Daniel Wagner. After starting out playing clubs and smaller venues in Michigan, Greta Van Fleet quickly began attracting attention before breaking onto the international scene.
Their debut studio album, ‘Anthem of the Peaceful Army’, arrived in 2018 and reached the Top 5 of the US Billboard 200. It followed the success of their earlier EPs and featured tracks including ‘When the Curtain Falls’ and ‘You’re the One’.
Greta Van Fleet continued to build their reputation with their second album, ‘The Battle at Garden’s Gate’, which expanded their sound with more ambitious arrangements and songs inspired by themes of exploration, humanity and the wider world. Their third album, ‘Starcatcher’, continued that progression and earned the band another Grammy nomination.
The band’s music has taken them from small Michigan clubs to some of the world’s biggest stages. They have performed major headline shows and festivals across North America, Europe and beyond, building a reputation for bringing plenty of energy and spectacle to their live performances.
At the centre of Greta Van Fleet’s music is the close bond between the Kiszka brothers and Wagner, which has remained an important part of the band’s identity throughout their career. Their songwriting continues to draw on rock’s rich history while allowing them to explore different sounds and ideas.
With platinum-selling releases, a Grammy Award and sold-out tours behind them, Greta Van Fleet have established themselves as one of the most prominent rock bands of their generation. Their forthcoming album, ‘PALACE FOR THE PEOPLE’, sees them continue to experiment and push their sound forward while keeping the live energy that first won them a global audience.
