Artist Bio:
James Blunt is a British singer-songwriter and musician known for his distinctive voice, heartfelt songwriting and ability to turn personal stories into songs that connect with audiences around the world.
Blunt rose to international fame with his debut album ‘Back to Bedlam’, released in 2004. The record became a huge global success, helped by the singles ‘You’re Beautiful’, ‘Goodbye My Lover’ and ‘High’. ‘You’re Beautiful’ became a worldwide hit, reaching No.1 in the UK and several other countries.
Since then, he has released a string of successful albums including ‘All the Lost Souls’, ‘Some Kind of Trouble’, ‘Moon Landing’ and ‘Once Upon a Mind’. His music has moved between emotional piano ballads and more upbeat pop and rock, while his honest approach to songwriting has remained at the heart of his work.
Away from the studio, James Blunt has built a reputation as an engaging and entertaining live performer. His concerts combine his best-known songs with newer material, giving fans the chance to hear his catalogue performed live.
Over the course of his career, Blunt has sold millions of records worldwide and earned multiple award nominations, including Grammy, BRIT and Ivor Novello recognition. He has continued to write, record and tour, maintaining a strong connection with his audience more than two decades after his breakthrough.
With new music continuing to arrive, the artist remains a familiar and much-loved name in British pop, with a catalogue that spans everything from huge international hits to deeply personal songwriting.
Artist News:
James Blunt has announced a new album, ‘Airplane Mode’, due out on 06 November 2026 via Atlantic Records, alongside a major UK & European tour that will bring him back to arenas in 2027.
‘Airplane Mode’ will feature 12 tracks, including the breezy first single ‘Tastes Like Summer’ and the newly released ‘Weight Of It All’. The latest track explores the pressures of modern life, while other songs on the album include ‘Circles’, ‘Oh Daisy’ and ‘Modern Love’.
Blunt has described the record as something of a return to form, with much of the album recorded at Pig Music Studios in Banbury.
“Somewhere back there, I lost my way, but found it again in a studio in Banbury,” Blunt says of the creative process behind the album.
Airplane Mode was recorded with the singer’s long-standing live band, bringing the musicians he regularly performs with into the studio for the new record.
Fans will have the chance to hear the new songs live when he and his band head out on the road in 2027, alongside favourites from his extensive catalogue.
