New York singer-songwriter and producer SOMBR has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting new names in pop, combining indie rock with huge pop melodies and deeply personal songwriting.
Born Shane Boose in New York City, SOMBR started making music from a makeshift studio in his Lower East Side bedroom. He writes and co-produces his entire catalogue, creating songs that capture the intensity, excitement and heartbreak of young love with a rawness that has connected with listeners around the world.
His breakthrough came in 2025 with ‘Back to Friends’, which grew from a viral success into a global hit. The track became SOMBR’s first Billboard Hot 100 Top 10, reached No. 1 on Spotify’s Global and US charts and spent five weeks at No. 1 on Alternative Radio. More than a year after its release, it also reached the top of US Pop Radio.
SOMBR followed that success with his debut studio album, ‘I Barely Know Her’, which further showcased his ability to turn intimate experiences into big, emotionally charged pop songs. The album featured fan favourites including ‘Undressed’ and ’12 to 12′, both of which reached the Top 20 on the Billboard Global 200 and Hot 100.
More recently, tracks including ‘Homewrecker’, ‘Potential’ and ‘My Body Isn’t Ready’ have continued to build momentum, cementing SOMBR’s reputation as one of pop’s most compelling new voices.
With his blend of atmospheric indie rock, arena-ready pop and honest lyrics, SOMBR has found a sound that feels both intimate and huge. From a bedroom studio in New York to the global charts, his rise has been remarkably fast, and it looks like he’s only getting started.

Following a huge year of global success, SOMBR has announced a new run of UK and European headline dates for his ‘YOU ARE THE REASON TOUR’.
The 21-year-old singer, songwriter and producer will bring his band to venues across Europe next summer, with dates confirmed in the Czech Republic, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and the UK.
The new dates come as SOMBR continues to build on his rapid rise, following sold-out headline shows around the world and the success of his debut album, ‘I Barely Know Her’.
With more shows still to come, the ‘YOU ARE THE REASON TOUR’ will give UK and European fans the chance to experience SOMBR’s atmospheric sound and energetic live performances in person.
