Hear’Say

Hear’Say were formed through the original ‘Popstars’ TV series in 2000, with Danny Foster, Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw, Noel Sullivan and Myleene Klass coming together after winning the show.

Their debut single, ‘Pure and Simple’, went straight to No.1 in the UK and became one of the defining pop songs of the era. They followed it with another chart-topper, ‘The Way to Your Love’, while their debut album, ‘Popstars’, also reached No.1 and went triple platinum after selling more than 900,000 copies in the UK.

Although their time together was relatively short, Hear’Say made a lasting impact on British pop culture. Their sudden rise from TV talent show contestants to chart-topping pop stars helped change the way new artists could break into the mainstream.

The group have since reunited for special appearances, with four of the original members, Danny Foster, Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw and Noel Sullivan, now returning to the stage together for the ‘Popstars: The Originals’ tour.

Liberty X

Liberty X were formed after finishing as runners-up on ‘Popstars’ in 2001. Michelle Heaton, Jessica Taylor, Tony Lundon, Kevin Simm and Kelli Young went on to build a successful career of their own, becoming one of the biggest British pop groups of the early 2000s.

Their breakthrough came with ‘Just a Little’, which reached No.1 in the UK in 2002 and became one of the country’s biggest-selling singles of the year. The group followed it with a run of Top 10 hits including ‘Thinking It Over’, ‘Got to Have Your Love’ and ‘Being Nobody’.

Their debut album, ‘Thinking It Over’, reached No.3 in the UK Albums Chart and went double platinum. Liberty X went on to release further albums and singles before eventually taking a break from recording and touring.

The group reunited for ITV’s ‘The Big Reunion’ in 2013, introducing their music to a new generation while bringing their original fanbase back together. Liberty X have continued to perform at festivals and Pride events, with Michelle Heaton, Jessica Taylor and Kelli Young regularly appearing as part of the group’s live line-up.

Now, 25 years after ‘Popstars’ first brought both acts into the spotlight, Hear’Say and Liberty X are coming together for the first time on the same stage for ‘Popstars: The Originals’, celebrating the songs and memories that made them such a memorable part of British pop.

Artist News:

Hear’Say and Liberty X are heading out on tour together in 2027, marking 25 years since they first found fame on the groundbreaking TV talent show ‘Popstars’.

The ‘Popstars: The Originals’ tour will be the first time the two bands have performed together on the same stage. The UK and Ireland arena tour will see both groups reunite to perform their biggest hits, with the dates expected to reach more than 150,000 fans.

Hear’Say won the original ‘Popstars’ series, while Liberty X finished as runners-up. The show helped kick-start the reality TV music boom of the early 2000s, paving the way for acts including Girls Aloud, One Direction, Little Mix and JLS.

Hear’Say will reunite four of their original members for the tour, with Danny Foster, Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw and Noel Sullivan returning to the stage together. Liberty X will be back with their full original line-up of Michelle Heaton, Jessica Taylor, Tony Lundon, Kevin Simm and Kelli Young.

For Hear’Say, winning ‘Popstars’ led to an incredible start to their career. Their debut single ‘Pure and Simple’ went straight to No.1, followed by another chart-topper, ‘The Way to Your Love’. Their debut album, ‘Popstars’, was also a huge success, eventually going triple platinum after selling more than 900,000 copies in the UK.

Liberty X went on to become one of the biggest British pop acts of the era. Their 2002 single ‘Just a Little’ reached No.1 and became one of the UK’s biggest-selling hits of the year. They followed it with seven more Top 10 singles, including ‘Thinking It Over’, ‘Got to Have Your Love’ and ‘Being Nobody’, while their debut album reached No.3 and went double platinum.

Both bands have remained part of the nostalgia around early 2000s pop, with Liberty X returning for ITV’s ‘The Big Reunion’ in 2013 and continuing to appear at festivals and Pride events.

Now, 25 years after ‘Popstars’ first introduced them to millions of viewers, Hear’Say and Liberty X are bringing their hits back to the arena stage. ‘Popstars: The Originals’ promises a proper trip down memory lane for fans who remember the era, while giving a new generation the chance to discover some of the biggest pop songs of the time.

Hear’Say: “Coming back together after 25 years is something that’s incredibly special to all of us. It’s a chance to celebrate an unforgettable chapter in our lives, reconnect with each other and relive so many amazing memories. To be sharing the stage with Liberty X makes this celebration even more special, and it feels like the perfect way to mark such an incredible milestone.

We are so excited to be celebrating with everyone and honestly can’t wait to reconnect with the Hear’say fans. To relive those amazing memories together and create some new ones along the way is going to be very special. We are counting down the days and can’t wait to see you there.”

It feels like the perfect way to mark such an incredible milestone, bringing the music, the memories and all the energy back to the stage.

Most of all, we can’t wait to celebrate with all of you. Whether you’ve been with us since day one or you’re discovering these songs all over again, we can’t wait to sing, dance and make some brand new memories together. See you on tour!”
