Artist Bio:
Bob Dylan is one of the most iconic and influential artists in music history. For more than 60 years, he has shaped the sound of folk, rock and blues with his distinctive songwriting, unmistakable voice and ability to reinvent himself time and time again.
Born Robert Zimmerman in Minnesota, Dylan rose to prominence in the early 1960s with songs that captured the spirit of a generation. Classics including ‘Blowin’ in the Wind’, ‘The Times They Are A-Changin”, ‘Mr. Tambourine Man’, ‘Like a Rolling Stone’ and ‘Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door’ have become some of the most celebrated songs ever written. His controversial move from acoustic folk to electric rock in 1965 marked a defining moment in popular music and helped cement his legendary status.
Over the course of an extraordinary career, Dylan has released more than 40 studio albums and received countless honours, including multiple Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the 2016 Nobel Prize in Literature.
He’s also built a reputation as one of music’s great live performers. His famous Never Ending Tour has seen him play thousands of shows across the globe, with every performance offering something a little different. Rather than simply replaying his greatest hits, Dylan is known for constantly reworking his songs, making each concert a unique experience.
Decades into his career, Bob Dylan continues to record, perform and inspire. His influence can be heard across generations of artists, and his songs remain as powerful and relevant today as ever.
Artist News:
Bob Dylan’s Rough and Rowdy Ways Tour has received widespread critical acclaim since launching in support of his surprise 2020 album of the same name. The record was hailed as one of the year’s best releases, topping numerous end-of-year lists and proving that Dylan remains one of modern music’s most influential and enduring artists.
The legendary singer-songwriter will return to London’s Royal Festival Hall in 2026 for a special run of five shows. The concerts will mark his first performances in the capital since his three-night residency at the Royal Albert Hall in 2024. More than six decades after playing his first UK show at The King & Queen pub in Fitzrovia in 1962, Dylan continues to captivate audiences around the world.
His most recent official release, The Bootleg Series Vol. 18: Through The Open Window, 1956–1963, arrived in 2025, offering fans another fascinating look back through his remarkable archive.
The 2026 UK dates will once again be presented in partnership with Yondr, meaning mobile phones and video recording devices will not be permitted inside the auditorium. The phone-free policy is designed to create a more immersive live experience, allowing audiences to enjoy the performances without distractions.
