Artist Bio:

Formed in California in the early 1990s, Weezer have become one of the most beloved and influential alternative rock bands of the past three decades. Led by frontman Rivers Cuomo alongside Pat Wilson, Matt Sharp and Jonathan Cropper, the band made an unforgettable entrance with their 1993 debut album, ‘Weezer’ (The Blue Album).

Featuring iconic tracks including ‘Buddy Holly’, ‘Undone – The Sweater Song’ and ‘Say It Ain’t So’, the record introduced Weezer’s instantly recognisable blend of clever songwriting, catchy melodies and heartfelt lyrics, earning them a devoted global fanbase.

Following the acclaimed Pinkerton, Weezer returned with another self-titled classic, ‘Weezer’ (The Green Album), in 2001, delivering fan favourites including ‘Hash Pipe’ and ‘Island In The Sun’. Over the years, the band have continued to evolve while staying true to the sound that made them so loved, releasing a series of genre-spanning albums including the colour-themed Red, White, Teal and Black Albums, the Van Halen-inspired Van Weezer, and the orchestral OK Human.

Known for their creativity and willingness to surprise, Weezer have explored everything from heavy rock to orchestral pop, while also delivering memorable covers including Toto’s ‘Africa’, ‘Rosanna’ and Metallica’s ‘Enter Sandman’. Their unique sense of humour and ability to connect with fans have remained a huge part of their appeal.

In 2026, Weezer entered a new chapter with their latest self-titled album. With new music and a huge global tour ahead, Weezer continue to prove why they remain one of alternative rock’s most enduring and influential acts.
