Artist Bio:
Royal Blood are a hard-hitting rock duo from Brighton, UK, made up of Mike Kerr (vocals, bass and keyboards) and Ben Thatcher (drums). Since bursting onto the scene in 2013, the pair have built a reputation for creating a massive, arena-filling sound that proves you don’t need a big line-up to make a huge impact.
Blending heavy riffs, powerful drums and Kerr’s distinctive vocals, Royal Blood quickly became one of the most exciting names in modern rock. Their self-titled debut album Royal Blood arrived in 2014, reaching number one in the UK charts and featuring fan favourites including ‘Figure It Out’ and ‘Out of the Black’. The album’s success also earned them the prestigious Mercury Prize, cementing their place as one of rock’s most talked-about new acts.
The duo continued to evolve with follow-up albums including ‘How Did We Get So Dark?’ (2017), ‘Typhoons’ (2021) and ‘Back to the Water Below’ (2023), exploring new influences while keeping the raw energy and powerful live sound that fans have come to expect.
Renowned for their explosive performances, Royal Blood have played some of the biggest stages around the world, from headline shows to major festivals including Glastonbury and Reading & Leeds. With their unmistakable blend of bass-driven riffs, thunderous drums and fearless attitude, Royal Blood continue to prove that sometimes two people are all it takes to create a truly massive rock sound.
Artist News:
Royal Blood have announced details of their fifth studio album, ‘Dead Company’, due out on 13 November 2026.
The Brighton duo, made up of Mike Kerr (vocals, bass and keyboards) and Ben Thatcher (drums), have also shared the album’s first single, ‘Ten Over Ten’, giving fans the first glimpse of what’s to come from their next chapter.
Self-produced by the band, Dead Company follows their 2023 album ‘Back To The Water Below’ and has been in the works since last year. The new record sees Royal Blood continuing to build on their signature sound, combining huge riffs, powerful rhythms and Kerr’s distinctive vocals.
The announcement follows a special 10th anniversary celebration of their self-titled debut album in 2024. Released in 2014, Royal Blood introduced the world to their unique take on rock music, becoming the fastest-selling British rock debut album in the UK in three years and earning the band a BRIT Award for Best British Group in 2015.
Since then, they have become one of the UK’s biggest modern rock acts, performing to audiences around the world and sharing stages with legendary artists including Foo Fighters and Arctic Monkeys.
With their unmistakable energy and ability to create a huge sound as a two-piece, Royal Blood continue to push the boundaries of rock music, with Dead Company set to mark another exciting era for the band.
