Arctic Monkeys have announced their seventh studio album ‘The Car’, due out on 21 October 2022.

The band also debuted brand new track ‘I Ain’t Quite Where I Think I Am’ live at their recent performance at the Zurich Openair festival in Switzerland (on Tuesday 23 August).

The song gives fans a first taste of their upcoming full-length, which will be the follow-up to 2018s ‘Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino’.

Rumours emerged back in August 2021 that they had been recording new music in Suffolk and today they took to social media to confirm the news.

Currently on the road, the Sheffield four-piece will headline the Reading & Leeds Festival this weekend, which will be their only two UK live dates of 2022 so far.

Their current tour schedule will also take them to Europe, North and South America as well as Australia.

Fans have been taking to social media to share clips of the rockers recent live shows, where they have so far performed ‘Potion Approaching’ for the first time since 2011 and ‘That’s Where You’re Wrong’ for the first time since 2013.

The band is Alex Turner, Matt Helders, Jamie Cook and Nick O’Malley.
