Sam Tompkins

Sam Tompkins has released brand new single ‘Numb’, the third offering from his upcoming debut album ‘hi, my name is insecure’, due out 24 May 2024 via Island Records.

Speaking on the track he commented, “‘numb’ is all about the feeling of wanting to feel nothing at all. Sometimes when you’re struggling that’s the only thing you want. An escape. That’s what I want this song to be… something you can scream in the car or in your room when you feel like the world’s not listening. I really hope people like it.”

The British singer songwriter’s highly anticipated upcoming debut album saw him team up with writer Pablo Bowman (Calvin Harris, James Arthur, Jonas Brothers) as well as writer and producer Danny Casio (Little Mix, Joy Crookes, Tom Grennan, Rudimental). The full-length includes hit tracks ‘someone else’, ‘time will fly’, ‘see me’, ‘lose it all’, ‘phones in heaven’ and new single ‘numb’.

Sam Tompkins’ 2022 EP ‘Who Do You Pray To?’ rocketed into the top 10 of the UK Album Chart and he has since been hailed by GQ as “one of the UK’s most exciting vocal talents of the moment” and CLASH as “the man of the moment”.

Since starting his musical journey at 16 years old busking on the streets of Brighton, he has gone on to sell out shows around the world and amass a dedicated and enraptured fanbase, cementing his reputation as one of the fastest rising British male artists. He’s cultivated an incredible online community for millions to share their love of music and has received praise from high profile artists including Drake, Fred again.., Justin Bieber, RAYE, Sam Smith and more.

Sam Tompkins will also support Australian artist The Kid Laroi on his UK & European tour this month – remaining tickets on sale now from Ticketmaster
