Olivia Rodrigo’s forthcoming new album ‘You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love’ is due out on 12 June 2026. The full-length will be the follow-up to 2023s ‘Guts’ and reunites Rodrigo with producer and long-time collaborator Dan Nigro, who also worked on her 2021 debut ‘Sour’.
‘drop dead’, the first single from you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making Olivia Rodrigo the first artist to have the lead singles from all of her studio albums open at the top of the chart. She is also the only artist born this century to achieve multiple Hot 100 No. 1s, with ‘drop dead’ joining ‘vampire’, ‘good 4 u’ and ‘drivers license’.
The album you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love showcases a more mature and expansive sound, while remaining rooted in the emotional honesty and originality that have defined Rodrigo’s work to date.
Fans had been speculating about a new release after cryptic pink album teasers appeared in Los Angeles and London.

In 2025, Olivia Rodrigo took to the stage at BST Hyde Park and Glastonbury Festival, headlining with a memorable set. At Glastonbury, she was joined on the iconic Pyramid Stage by The Cure frontman Robert Smith to perform the band’s timeless hits ‘Friday I’m In Love’ and ‘Just Like Heaven’. These special duets were later released on her ‘Live From Glastonbury 2025’ album.
