We had been looking forward to seeing these Liverpool lads, since coming across them during lockdown, and loving their catchy indie pop tunes, we have played it a lot in the car – and I mean a lot!

In a very warm and sweaty O2 room, they took to the, albeit small stage, with an enthusiastic crowd in front of them, and rightly so. They have that Liverpudlian charm about them with killer hook laden tunes like ‘Would You Be Lonely’, ‘TV Said So’, ‘Ballerino’, ‘Eleanor’ and the big crowd shout out song ‘Honey’. The crowd were having a ball, dancing and singing their little heads off. It was a shame that the stage was small, as I would love to see this somewhat caged band on a larger stage, maybe next time. Red Rum Club are suffering what we would guess that a lot of up and coming bands are, just getting some steam up and then bang – lockdown.

But after playing a couple of tunes off their next album, (sorry didn’t catch the titles), the future is looking brighter for this really good band. If you like bands like Blossoms and The Killers, you will love these guys. Keep an eye out for these talented band, hopefully on a larger stage.
