The new body of work was recorded in London, Los Angeles, Italy, Bali, Jakarta, and St Vincent, and signifies a new era M.I.A. The album will be the follow-up TO ‘A.I.M.’, which dropped back in 2016.

The British-born Sri Lankan rapper has released five studio albums to date, including her Mercury Prize nominated debut ‘Arular’ and highly acclaimed follow-up ‘Kala’. Some of her biggest tracks include ‘Paper Planes’ and ‘Bad Girls’.

M.I.A. also featured on Madonna’s hit single ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’’ along with Nicki Minaj. After the trio performed the song at the 2012 Super Bowl, she issued a fine by the NFL for sticking her middle finger up during the performance.

Furthermore, she is the first person of South Asian descent to be nominated for an Academy Award and Grammy Award in the same year.

M.I.A. performed at various festivals across Europe this summer, including Primavera Sound, NOS Alive and Bilbao BBK Live.
