As a long-time fan of Lissie, as proven by travelling up to Manchester, we don’t do it for anyone. To say we were looking forward to tonight would be an understatement, and in a nicely near full Gorilla room, it has been a few years, obviously, due to you know what.

What was unusual is that this small tour is not to promote an album release, although Lissie informs us that she has one in the can for release soon. So tonight it was, apart from one song, which I didn’t catch the title of, all the favourites that we have listened to and watched her perform live over the years. ‘Bully’, ‘Sleepwalking’, ‘Oh Mississippi’, ‘Best Days’, ‘Little Lovin’, throw in her amazing cover version of Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Dreams’ as used in the TV add, she admitted that she loves to do a cover. And although not performed tonight, you must check out her version of, One Direction’s, ‘Story Of My Life’, absolutely fantastic. We think it’s better than the original and although between songs it was apparent that she was having a little problem with her throat, but she never let it interfere with the quality of her vocals and it was excellent night. Now all we have to wait for is the new album, hurry up please, Lissie.
