Tonight is the first night of this tour named Rebegin, after Jade Helliwell’s first seven track album, which incidentally is a really very good album. The title relating to her having been out of action for a while after having her first baby, this after winning several British Country Awards, and showing she has no intention of quitting. In fact, quite the opposite, she has her head down full steam ahead. She treated us all to a cracking night of country/pop with a superb vocal on show, with tunes like ‘Lighthouse’, ‘Look What You’ve Done’, ‘Monster’, ‘Drink You Outta My Mind’ and the sensational, ‘Heroes & Heroines’, sounding great live, and are on the album.
She can definitely write a catchy song, everyone in tonight were enthralled and showing it. She herself seemed to be having a ball, with no sign of nerves after the layoff, and we look forward in hopefully catching her later in the year at a festival somewhere. One small gripe about the album is that we would like to have a few more songs on that were played on the night, they were that good.
