Garbage have revealed details of their new ‘Anthology’ release, due out on 28 October 2022.

It will be the first ‘Best Of’ collection from the influential alternative rockers in 15 years and feature material from their nearly 30 year long career, including songs from their 1995 self-titled debut album, through to tracks from their most recent, critically acclaimed LP ‘No Gods No Masters’, which dropped in 2021.

‘Anthology’ will also feature rare track ‘Witness To Your Love’, as well as original artwork from Chilean artist Javi Mi Amor who collaborated with the band on ‘No Gods No Masters’.

Frontwoman Shirley Manson commented, “This anthology is testimony to almost 3 decades of creative work together, our collective tenacity and our terrifying ability as a group to withstand ritual humiliation on a regular basis. Regardless of the inevitable shifts and tides within the music industry, we are surprised to find ourselves still here, making records and touring the globe. It is in no small part as a result of the astounding fan support we receive. Our love and gratitude to all, for everything.”

‘Anthology’ will include classic hits like ‘Stupid Girl’, ‘Queer’, ‘Only Happy When It Rains’, ‘Special’ and fan favourite ‘The Trick Is to Keep Breathing’. Other highlights include Bond song ‘The World Is Not Enough’, ‘#1 Crush’ from Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo and Juliet as well as politically charged singles ‘No Gods No Masters’ and ‘The Men Who Rule The World’. ‘Anthology’ will be released as a double CD album and double LP in transparent yellow.

The band are currently scheduled to perform at the upcoming ‘Sound of 007 in Concert’ at the Royal Albert Hall in London on 04 October, alongside Dame Shirley Bassey.
