Freya Ridings

If you listen or know Freya Ridings self-titled first album, the very full O2 weren’t or shouldn’t expect a dazzling spectacle of a stage show. Although the stage had some really nice lighting, what we were treated to was a masterclass in cracking tunes sang faultlessly with emotion and control. The sound quality enabled the audience to really listen and appreciate her, and they did. Applauding every song with gusto and with a few quicker numbers like the hit single ‘Castles’ and ‘Holy Water’ to liven up the proceedings. On this showing Ms Ridings will have won over any non-fans being dragged along and although I personally would prefer a few more up tempo numbers, she has the pipes and song writing ability to go even higher. We will be watching with interest in future releases.
