Artist Bio:

Craig David is one of Britain’s best-known R&B and UK garage artists, with a career spanning more than 25 years. Known for his smooth vocals, laid-back style and ability to blend R&B, garage, pop and dance music, David has built a catalogue of songs that have remained popular with UK audiences across generations.

Born in Southampton, David first made his mark on the UK garage scene in the late 1990s, working with Artful Dodger on the classic ‘Re-Rewind (The Crowd Say Bo Selecta)’. He then launched his solo career with ‘Fill Me In’, which became his first UK Number 1 single in 2000.

His debut album, ‘Born To Do It’, followed later that year and became a huge success. The record produced some of David’s most recognisable songs, including ‘7 Days’, ‘Walking Away’, ‘Rendezvous’ and ‘Fill Me In’, establishing him as one of the UK’s biggest young artists at the time.

David went on to release albums including ‘Slicker Than Your Average’, ‘The Story Goes…’, ‘Trust Me’, ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’ and ‘Following My Intuition’. He has continued to explore different sides of his sound throughout his career, while maintaining strong links to the UK garage and dance scenes that shaped his early music.

His catalogue has produced numerous UK hits, including ‘What’s Your Flava?’, ‘Rise & Fall’ with Sting, ‘Don’t Love You No More (I’m Sorry)’, ‘Hot Stuff (Let’s Dance)’, ‘When the Bassline Drops’ with Big Narstie and ‘I Know You’ with Bastille. David has achieved two UK No.1 albums and more than 25 UK Top 40 singles.

Alongside his recorded music, David has become a popular live performer through his full-band shows and TS5 parties, which combine live vocals, DJ sets and club music. He has continued to tour extensively, bringing his biggest songs to audiences around the world.

With billions of streams, multiple awards and nominations, and a career that has remained closely connected to UK music culture, Craig David continues to be an important name in British R&B, garage and dance music.

Artist News:

Craig David is heading back on the road in 2027 with his Born To Do It Tour, bringing his iconic debut album to UK audiences as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations.

The British singer will play two UK shows next spring, starting at Brighton Centre before heading to Utilita Arena Birmingham in May 2027. The dates follow two sold-out London shows earlier this year, where David performed ‘Born To Do It’ in full with his live band.

Released in 2000, ‘Born To Do It’ became one of the defining albums of the UK garage and R&B era. It introduced David to a huge audience with tracks including ‘Fill Me In’, ‘7 Days’, ‘Walking Away’ and ‘Rendezvous’, and spent more than 70 weeks in the UK charts.

The album’s success marked the beginning of a career that has seen David become one of Britain’s most successful R&B and garage artists. He has achieved two UK No.1 albums, 26 UK Top 40 singles and more than five billion streams worldwide, alongside multiple BRIT and Grammy nominations.

Away from the anniversary celebrations, David has continued to evolve his sound and build a reputation as a major live performer. His TS5 shows have also become a popular part of his live career, bringing together his DJ, production and performance skills.

The 2027 shows will give fans the chance to hear ‘Born To Do It’ from start to finish alongside more of David’s biggest hits, bringing some of the defining sounds of the early 2000s back to the stage.

With Brighton and Birmingham forming part of a wider European tour, Craig David is taking the much-loved full-length back on the road for a new generation of fans, while giving longtime listeners the chance to revisit one of the albums that helped shape the UK garage and R&B sound of its era.
