Cat Power has announced new Bob Dylan covers album ‘Cat Power Sings Dylan: The 1966 Royal Albert Hall Concert’, due out on 10 November 2023.

In November 2022, the American singer-songwriter performed at London’s Royal Albert Hall and delivered a song-for-song recreation of the legendary artist’s infamous 1966 concert at the Manchester Free Trade Hall, which was long known as the “Royal Albert Hall Concert” due to a mislabelled bootleg.

For the album, Cat Powers AKA Chan Marshall follows the same format as the original gig, where Bob Dylan switched from acoustic to electric midway through the show.

Her spellbinding performance both lovingly honours her hero’s imprint on history and gives new life into many of his most revered songs.

Cat Powers has shared an acoustic version of ‘She Belongs To Me’ as well as a plugged-in rendition of ‘Ballad Of A Thin Man’.
