Billie Eilish has released new single ‘What Was I Made For?, taken from the highly anticipated feature-length film, Barbie.

The film was written and directed by Greta Gerwig and stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as Barbie and Ken.

The song was composed especially for the film by the Oscar, Golden Globe and multiple GRAMMY® Award winning artist alongside her brother FINNEAS who produced the track at his home-studio in Los Angeles.

The track was released alongside an official music video, directed by Eilish.

On making the song and music video, Billie shared a statement with her fans on social media, posting “to be real with you this all seemed to happen in a time when i really needed it. i’m so so thankful for that.”

‘What Was I Made For?’ will also be released as part of the film’s official soundtrack ‘BARBIE THE ALBUM’, which was executive produced by Academy, Golden Globe and 7X Grammy® Award winning artist and producer Mark Ronson and Barbie and Greta Gerwig.

The LP will also include contributions from Dua Lipa, Lizzo, Nicki Minaj, Ava Max, Dominic Fike, Charli XCX, Sam Smith and more.
