Alessi Rose

Alessi Rose has had a pretty good year so far. Small headline tour, playing Glastonbury, support for Dua Lipa and now her biggest headline tour to date, playing much larger venues like the O2 Academy, not sold out, but not by much.

With an audience made up of mainly younger ladies, and I’d guess a first gig for quite a few, but either way you can guarantee everyone had a great night including Alessi. In a show that was packed with catchy up-tempo tunes, and the occasional emotional number. And although the O2 is quite big, the atmosphere felt more intimate than you would expect. Put that together with almost hysterical reactions from the crowd, and loud enough to do your hearing some damage with singing nearly every single word, quite impressive. She is confident, yet still a cooky girly persona, but she can sing and is a very visual performer, occasionally dropping to her knees to deliver a killer note.

On this showing she has to be watched, and we would expect her next appearances to be at even bigger venues. And if it was some young ladies first ever gig, it will stick in their memory for a long long time. One to watch.
