Richard Ashcroft has announced his new studio album, ‘Lovin’ You’, due out on 03 October 2025.

The full-length will be his seventh solo release to date and his first all-new album since 2018s ‘Natural Rebel’, and follow-up to 2021s ‘Acoustic Hymns, Vol. 1’.

‘Lovin’ You’ opens with first single ‘Lover’. The song interpolates Joan Armatrading’s classic ‘Love And Affection’, which earned the praise of the legendary songwriter herself: “I love how he’s used my song and I love his song.”

The tracks on ‘Lovin’ You’ were written by Richard Ashcroft, who co-produced the album with Chris Potter and Emre Ramazanoglu. There is also the track ‘I’m A Rebel’, co-written and produced with Mirwais of Madonna fame.

‘Lovin’ You’ will be released on standard black vinyl, CD and digital formats, as well as in a range of retailer exclusive vinyl variants.

Richard Ashcroft, a two-time Ivor Novello Award winner, has established himself as one of the most accomplished and influential songwriters of his generation over the course of his three-decade-spanning career.

His first chapter with The Verve reached a remarkable peak with ‘Urban Hymns’, which featured iconic hits ‘Bitter Sweet Symphony’, ‘The Drugs Don’t Work’, ‘Lucky Man’ and ‘Sonnet’. The full-length remains one of the best-selling in UK history, earning 11x Platinum certifications. The band later achieved a second No.1 album with ‘Forth’ and won three BRIT Awards.

His solo career continued that acclaim with his debut ‘Alone With Everybody’ shooting to No.1 and all five subsequent studio albums landing between No.2 and No.5. Between The Verve and his solo work, he has achieved three UK No.1 albums and another five Top 10 records, a No.1 single and five Top 10 hits.a
