Little Simz has dropped new single ‘Young’, the third track to be revealed from her highly anticipated sixth album, ‘Lotus’, due out on 06 June 2025 via AWAL Recordings.

Amid the frank reflections and searing honesty on ‘Lotus’, there is a spark of playfulness and bold experimentation – captured perfectly in the punk-tinged spirit of ‘Young’. The track is a striking display of Simz’s range and gift for storytelling. Stepping into character, she lifts her voice into a playful lilt, carried by a deep bassline that transports the listener to another world entirely. In her own words, “I was able to tap into a character. That was fun for me. It’s just a moment of light-heartedness.”

The single is accompanied by an official music video, which reunites her with the legendary director Dave Meyers, following their multi-award-winning video collaboration for ‘Gorilla’.

Furthermore, The Southbank Centre recently announced Little Simz as the curator of the 30th edition of its iconic contemporary music festival, Meltdown. She will round off the festival, performing alongside Southbank Centre Resident Chineke! Orchestra, which sold out within hours.
