After coming across multi-nominated and winner Kip Moore about two months ago – to be honest he has been on in the car ever since – to say we were looking forward to tonight is an understatement. We walked into the near sell-out Birmingham O2, the first night of this part of a mainly sold-out European tour, and there was an air of expectancy, a buzz. Guessing that some here have had the pleasure of seeing Kip Moore before unlike us, and so the band walks on followed by Kip to an almighty roar of approval from the audience.

Kicking off with the fast paced, ‘High Hopes’, the pace never really let up, with no small talk between songs, just a change of guitar. It was sensational, breathtaking. With songs like, ‘Wild Ones’, ‘Only Me’, ‘Plead The Fifth’, ‘Wildfire’, and the epic, ‘Fire and Flame’, it was 100 per cent full on, with the crowd singing at times so loud it nearly drowned out Kip’s vocal, very impressive. In a set that lasted over two hours, with very little talking, Kip occasionally dropping into the pit to stand on the barrier to meet his followers only seemed to egg them on even more. A with the album title track, ‘Solitary Tracks’, and the slightly funky Damn Love, before bringing out the big hit singles, ‘Beer Money’ and’ Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck’, this was some night, one of the best we have seen here for a long while. The only downside is that it had to end. P lease don’t leave it too long for another fix of Kip, PLEASE.
