The Streets 2019 UK Tour

the streets

Following a sold-out UK & Europe comeback tour The Streets have confirm a new run of UK dates for January/February 2019.

The new 2019 shows will form the second part of The Darker The Shadow The Brighter The Light tour. The Mike Skinner fronted outfit will head to Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle and Sheffield before closing with three big nights at London’s O2 Academy Brixton.

The band delved deep into their extensive back catalogue of iconic albums on their recent tour. This included hit tracks from albums such as ‘The Hardest Way To Make An Easy Living’, ‘Everything is Borrowed’, ‘Computers and Blues’, ‘A Grand Don’t Come For Free’ and ‘Original Pirate Material’.

The Streets previously performed farewell shows six years ago after releasing their fifth and seemingly final album Computers and Blues.

In addition to their greatest hits, fans can expect to hear some new music after Mike dropped five brand-new tracks, ‘You Are Not The Voice In Your Head’, ‘Boys Will Be Boys’ featuring Jaykae, ‘If You Ever Need To Talk I’m Here’, ‘Burn Bridges’ and ‘Sometimes I Hate My Friends More Than My Enemies’. Skinner has also confirmed that a new album is in the works, which will form part of the soundtrack to a film he is currently working on.
