‘Electricity’ is the follow-up to previous singles ‘Only Can Get Better’ with vocals by Daniel Merriweather, ‘Feel About You’ featuring Mapei and ‘Loud’ with Goldlink and Desiigner. The two multi-platinum, Grammy-winning producers’ Diplo and Ronson named Silk City, their first official collaborative project together, after the Philadelphia institute where they first met in the early 2000s.
The track came to fruition with lyric and melody contributions from Romy Madley- Croft of The xx, Dua Lipa and Diana Gordon, who is most renowned for working on Beyonce’s Lemonade. The infectious track is sure to become a huge hit with its 90s vibes, piano-laden Chicago house sound and gospel inspired vocals.
‘Electricity’ is set to feature on Dua Lipa’s Complete Edition, an extended version of her acclaimed debut album. The release will also include her previous collaborations with Martin Garrix and Sean Paul alongside fan favourites ‘Want To’, ‘Running’ and new track ‘Kiss and Make Up’ with K-pop superstars BLACKPINK. Dua is the No.1 most streamed female artist on Spotify as well as the the first and only female artist in history to have four lead songs with over 500 Million Spotify streams.
