Imelda May Feat. Jack Savoretti New Single

Irish superstar Imelda May has announced her latest single ‘Call Me’ featuring acclaimed singer-songwriter Jack Savoretti.

The single will be made available on 24 November 2017, with news of its release following what will be Imelda’s final UK tour date of the year and first ever headline show at London’s iconic music venue the Royal Albert Hall.

The track was produced by Cam Blackwood at ICP Studios in Brussels and is taken from Imelda’s ‘Life. Love. Flesh. Blood.’ album. Named as one of the Top 5 best-selling British Female Albums of 2017, it entered the UK charts in the No. 5 spot thanks to its array of popular singles like ‘Black Tears’, ‘Should’ve Been You’ and ‘Leave Me Lonely’ as well as the original single version of ‘Call Me’.

Imelda said the following of the song, “I wrote ‘Call Me’ about the horrible time when you are willing the phone to ring, begging for the name to pop up, and it doesn’t. I’ve always thought it could work as a duet, and I think Jack totally nails his vocal. There’s so much longing in his voice, and there’s a truth to it too.”

Since being asked to join Jools Holland on tour as support years ago, Imelda May has become one of Ireland’s most celebrated female artists. She took home the award for Best Female Singer at the Boisdale Music Awards earlier this year and is also due to be honoured at the upcoming Irish Post Artist of The Year Awards.

Jack Savoretti commented on the collaboration saying, “Recording this duet with Imelda and Cam was one of the best experiences I have ever had in a recording studio. The song is amazing and I am proud to be part of this.”

We can’t wait to hear it!
