Arcade Fire Share New Video For ‘Chemistry’

Arcade Fire have shared the new animated music video for their track ‘Chemistry’, taken from the Grammy-nominated global No.1 album ‘Everything Now’.

The video was directed by Ray Tintori, animated by Starburns Industries and features Tootie Tootz of Big Freedia: Queen of Bounce as a cat who falls in love with a dog at her wedding reception. WATCH IT HERE:

Arcade Fire’s Win Butler has admitted that the band has for a long time wanted to collaborate with Tintori, whose previous work includes videos for the likes of MGMT, Chairlift and Moses Sumney. Win commented, “We’ve been big fans of Ray’s work since his early videos and there was talk of collaborating during The Suburbs shoot–we were going to film it in New Orleans but then it got moved to Austin at the last minute, and Ray was caught up working on Beasts of the Southern Wild. So it was very full circle to finally be working with him in New Orleans during Mardi Gras. There is a playful, carnivalesque energy to the song; to capture that by filming literally during carnival felt right.”

Released in July 2017, ‘Everything Now’ debuted at No.1 in the UK, US, Canada and Ireland as well as reached top of the iTunes charts in 39 countries around the world.

Arcade Fire are currently on the European leg of their Everything Now Continued World Tour, which will conclude later this year in September with a huge final show at the Life Is Beautiful festival in Las Vegas.
