Jack White Unveils Two New Tracks
Jack White is back with two new tracks including ‘Connected by Love’, the first single to come from his highly anticipated third solo album ‘Boarding House Reach.’
Since White’s last full-length solo release ‘Lazaretto’ in 2014, he has recorded another album with The Dead Weather, co-written the track ‘Don’t Hurt Yourself’ for Beyoncé’s hit album ‘Lemonade’, as well as worked on the roots music 3-part PBS documentary ‘American Epic’ with T Bone Burnett and Robert Redford.
‘Connected by Love’ was produced and recorded in three studio locations in Nashville as well as in Los Angeles and New York, a first time for the artist. It features White on vocals, synthesizer and acoustic guitar alongside an impressive line-up of musicians from Louis Cato (Beyoncé, Q-Tip, John Legend) to bassist Charlotte Kemp Muhl (The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger), synthesizer player DJ Harrison, keyboardist Neal Evans (Soulive, Talib Kweli, John Scofield), percussionist Bobby Allende (David Byrne) and backing vocalists Ann and Regina McCrary of Nashville’s beloved gospel trio The McCrary Sisters.
The Pasqual Gutierrez directed video has also accompanied the release of the track – WATCH IT HERE:
‘Respect Commander’ is the second single to be shared with both songs now available digitally worldwide. Although we don’t hear Jack’s vocals until halfway through the heavy guitar-driven instrumental, it makes for an interesting listen and certainly ups expectations of what else can be expected to come from his album due to drop later this year – official release date still to be confirmed.
